Yoga came into Nicole’s life at 16 years old, when a yoga studio opened up in her small farm town in Canada. Suffering from severe anxiety and insomnia, she found yoga as a way to connect with herself and her body. From being a poor university student in Vancouver, and inventing a self practice to practice in her dorm, to doing yoga in small places as she travelled to and around Australia, yoga has been in Nicole’s life.
Yoga started to become a lifestyle when Nicole began practicing at a studio in Australia. Under great teachers and mentors, yoga and meditation have been tools to help Nicole through periods of stress and hardships. Nicole completed her 200hr training in 2014 from an ashtanga/Iyengar based training, in which focus was on alignment, discipline, philosophy and meditation. Nicole brings this training into her classes with focus on creating space through alignment, threaded with yogic philosophy, and finding freedom from your own boundaries.
Nicole is currently completing her final years as a veterinary student. If she is not on the yoga mat, or with her head in the books, you will find Nicole on the beach with her dog Bruno.
